11 January 2007 [18:25] - TODAY.AZ
The most recent meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council was held on Thursday.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos announced the priorities of the organization.

"Conflicts in Georgia, Moldova and Nagorno Karabakh conflict were among the difficult problems. The main aim of OSCE in 2007 is to establish relations among the conflicting sides and peoples," he said.

Among the main concerns Miguel Angel Moratinos noted was the fight against terrorism and establishing pluralistic relations among the public and governments.

"OSCE took considerably serious measures in the direction of the settlement of these problems, but there are problems have not been solved yet. For example, we have not finished the project 'Europe' yet. Work on the project will continue in 2007,' he said.

He said the issue on Kazakhstan's chairmanship of OSCE in 2009 will also be discussed.
