Musavat MPs' appeal rejected

11 January 2007 [02:07] - TODAY.AZ
Musavat parliamentarians' appeal to hold MM extraordinary meeting in connection with the increase of prices was rejected.

MP Penah Huseynov told APA that the appeal was signed by five MPs. But it is not enough to convene an extraordinary session. When asked whether they will collect signatures of other MPs, he said that no positive result will be achieved.

"Because most of the parliamentarians are under government's control they will not sign this appeal," he said.

Penah Huseynov noted that the MPs will continue their efforts and appeal to the permanent commissions of the Parliament.

"Government has not given serious explanation on the increase of energy supply prices. So, it is necessary to convene extraordinary session with the participation of the presidents of the companies that offered to increase the prices," he considered.
