Assistant Secretary of State to visit Baku

Barry Lowenkron, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, will visit Azerbaijan for meetings December 18 and 19.

Assistant Secretary Lowenkron is the senior official in the U.S. Department of State responsible for issues related to democracy and human rights, APA reports.

In addition to meeting with senior Azerbaijani government officials as part of the ongoing dialogue on democracy and human rights issues, Assistant Secretary Lowenkron will meet with representatives of the political parties, religious communities, civil society, and the media.
