Ali Ahmedov met with Great Britain deputy Ambassador to Azerbaijan

New Azerbaijani Party deputy and executive secretary Ali Ahmedov met with Great Britain deputy Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Colin Wels, NAP information service told.

They discussed the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan and preparation for presidential elections in 2008.

Ali Ahmedov said that the aim of the government is to hold democratic and transparent elections and to win positive opinion of international community.

The deputy noted that there are improvements in development of democracy.

He also said that programs and projects implemented during last three years will play decisive role in 2008 elections, APA reports.
