Vardan Oskanyan: "Long lasting solution to conflict depends on Nagorno Karabakh status and security of Karabakh population"

He said they wish long lasting solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, APA reports.

"We hope that the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents will help to reach an agreement on controversial questions on the settlement of the conflict."

Long lasting solution to the conflict depends on Nagorno Karabakh status and security of Karabakh population. The main principles being discussed at the talks at the moment are the recognition of self-determination of Karabakh population and removal of the results of the conflict.

"We hope that Azerbaijan will recognize and respect the right of Karabakh population to decision its future, status and security system," Vardan Oskanyan said.
