President Aliyev meets ECOSOC official

Expressing gratitude to the Head of Azerbaijan State for receiving him, the guest conveyed greetings from the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. "The Secretary General appraises development of Azerbaijan in the information and tele-communication field," he underlined.

"One of the goals of the structure is to conduct dialogue among the countries in the field I am engaged in," Mr. Sarbuland Khan said. "Azerbaijan has achieved development in preparation of national information and communications technologies strategy," he stressed.

President of Azerbaijan thanked for greetings from UN Secretary General and requested to convey his greetings to Kofi Annan.

Information and communications technologies have special role in development of not only Azerbaijan, but also for the world's future development, President of Azerbaijan emphasized.
