Former Azpetrol president Rafig Aliyev faces new accusations

Former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies Rafig Aliyev faced new accusations on September 28, Jamil Hasanli, Rafig and Farhad Aliyevs' Rights Defense Committee chief told journalists.

"As if Rafig Aliyev was involved in attempt to coup and mass unrests with Fikret Yusifov for bringing fugitive Rasul Guliyev to power," he said.

Alimardan Sadigov, lawyer for Rafig Aliyev said he faced new accusation on criminal code 213 (tax evasion), 28.220 (coup attempt), 278 (seize the power by force) articles.
Rafig Aliyev was accused on the Criminal Code article 206.4 (smuggling) and held in National Security Ministry jail, APA reports.
