Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia visits Azerbaijanis

Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev visited Lagodekhi and Telavi regions in Kakhetia to get closely acquainted with the living conditions of Azerbaijanis there.

There are four Azerbaijani villages in Lagodekhi and one in Telavi.

The Embassy press service chief Elkhan Polukhov told that Georgia bureau that the ambassador met with Azerbaijanis and interested in their problems. He said the Azerbaijani government has granted money for reconstruction of the flood-damaged bridge in Gabal.

Ambassador Aliyev also visited some secondary schools in the village with Lagodekhi executive power chief Tamaz Godziashvili and Georgian parliamentarian Guram Kokolashvili and presented computers and books to the school.

He said bags with textbooks will be brought from Azerbaijan for the first form pupils soon.

The ambassador was also in Lagodekhi customs post and got acquainted with the working condition there. Then he went to Garajalar village and presented computers and books granted by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation led by UNESCO good-will ambassador, parliamentarian Mehriban Aliyeva to the village school.

Gabal and Garajalar local authorities chiefs expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijan government for the care, APA reports.
