Azeri FM meets President of the Balkan Political Club

Z. Zhelev told of the Balkan Political Club and highlighted the significance of establishing this kind of organization in the South Caucasus as well.

Saying the Balkan Political Club functioning since 2001 affiliates some prominent politicians, former presidents, Prime Ministers Z. Zhelev noted that the organization seeks to strengthen peace and cooperation in the Balkan region and hold discussions on this matter.

Minister E. Mammadyarov said that the idea of creation of the South Caucasus Political Club is interesting and positive and drew the visitor's attention to the importance of settling all the conflicts in the region. He stressed the need for forming the elements of trust among the peoples of the region and bolstering the idea of joint co-existence.

Minister said the idea of political unity is noteworthy, and there is a need in exploring this matter. Minister found a need to hold talks on this matter with a number of officials.
