Zamina Dunyamaliyeva accuses Akif Shahbazov of violating ADP rules

12 September 2006 [19:40] - TODAY.AZ
The Supreme Assembly of Azerbaijan Democratic Party has not held meetings for seven months.

"I have many times raised this issue at the party leadership but no one gave a reasonable answer. You cannot find the Supreme Court chief Akif Shahbazov in his place," Zamina Dunyamaliyeva, ADP Supreme Assembly member told the APA.

Dunyamaliyeva says the party rules have been violated by not convening any sittings since February adding the leadership does this on purpose.

"According to the party rules, the Supreme Assembly is to meet in every three months. I have much to say at meetings. but I have to say these to the media," she said.

In response to Dunyamaliyeva's accusations, Akif Shahbazov told the APA she makes groundless allegations.

"There was not a matter of urgency for calling a sitting. I would recommend her not to make public the matters concerning the party only," he said.

Shahbazov also said the Supreme Assembly will meet on September 26.
