Azerbaijan's hosting two OIC conferences at level of minister in the past three months this year is a great achievement for the state. Both of the events were organized in high level.

"The Organization of the Islamic Conference is always together with Azerbaijan and will continue support it," OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu told journalists, APA reports.

The Secretary General said the current situation shows that Azerbaijan’s role in the OIC will increase.

Commenting on the recently adopted UN resolution on the arsons in the occupied Azerbaijani lands, Mr.Ihsanoglu said the decisions adopted at the 33rd session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers in Baku in July this year had a positive impact on the adoption of such a resolution.

"I wrote to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan related to this matter. Our representatives in New York did their utmost for the adoption of this resolution," he said.
