FIEP delegation to arrive September 7

The delegation from the Association of the European and Mediterranean Police Forces and Gendarmeries with Military Status (FIEP) is due to arrive in Baku on 7 September.

The Interior Troops Main Office told the APA the FIEP's delegation will familiarize with establishment of peacekeeping party in Azerbaijani Interior Troops, implementation of Azerbaijan's commitments for FIEP membership and draw up a report on this visit.

FIEP was established in 1994 at the initiative of French Gendarmerie. It has eight members, including Turkish Gendarme Forces. Italian Carabineers chair the Association now.
