President Aliyev meets Ukrainian Deputy PM

Ukraine's Vice-Premier Andriy Kliuyev and Azerbaijan's president Ilham Aliyev have discussed the prospects for stepping up the bilateral cooperation, in particular in energy sector, and the forthcoming visit of Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko to Baku.

"We have discussed a number of issues related to cooperation of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. We paid much attention to cooperation in energy sector," Kliuyev said in an interview with reporters in Baku on Thursday.

The parties have discussed a wide range of cooperation issues, including raising the volume of Azeri oil supplies to Ukraine and construction of new facilities on Ukraine's territory.
