CIS informal summit to bring together ten heads of state

An informal summit of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Moscow July 21-22 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The informal summit is due to bring together ten CIS heads of states.

As APA reports, Turkmen President Saparmurad Niyazov and Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko are not expected to attend the summit.

The informal summit will focus on the current socio-political situation in the world, the CIS development as well as joint reforms.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to attend the summit. The head of state are expected to have bilateral meetings in Moscow as well as discuss Azerbaijan-Russia relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
