The survey, conducted by economists of the influential US Universities of Columbia and California at Berkely revealed that the UN office employees from these countries had no outstanding parking tickets, Washington Profile news agency reported.
The other foreign diplomats that topped the list come from Great Britain, Netherlands, Oman, Israel, Greece and Ecuador, Assa-Irada informs.
Diplomats from Kuwait lack discipline the most, with 246 parking tickets, followed by Egypt and Chad. Among CIS states, Kazakh representatives were rated 33rd, with 21 violations. They are followed by diplomats from Armenia and Georgia, who failed to pay 10 and 64 fines, ranking 59th and 64th respectively, the study said.
The survey also revealed that foreign diplomats paid over 150,000 fines to the tune of $18m in 1997-2002.
