Daniel Fried: "US will never consent to the second state in Cyprus"

"If Turkey wants to enter the European Union, it should declare its seaports and airports open to Cyprus," said Daniel Fried, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

As APA reports, he said Washington does not accept the second state in the Cyprus island and will not recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

"None of our politicians consent to the second state in the island. We are prepared for talks regarding this. Cyprus is the united state and we have one embassy there," Fried claimed.
