Israel offers cooperation to Azerbaijan's Emergencies Ministry

Minister of Emergencies, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov today received Israeli Minister of National Infrastructure Binyamin Ben-Eliezer.

The Ministry Public Affairs department informs that Mr.Ben-Eliezer said Israel is interested in efficient economic development in Azerbaijan.

"Besides, friendship relations, common economic interests make the two countries kin. Therefore, it is very important for Israel to not only coordinate common efforts in foreign policy but also expand economic relations between our states," the Israeli Minister said.

The visitors offered cooperation in establishing a body that will meet the needs of capability to give efficient reaction to cases of emergency. He said the prevention of emergencies and creating general strategy of control of this situation can be the spheres of joint cooperation.

Mr.Ben-Eliezer also said the Israeli side can render great assistances to Azerbaijan's Emergencies Ministry in training of rescue teams in special training courses.

"Israel, which was often subject to terrorist attacks, has gained a special experience in relief efforts in such cases and trained civil defense professionals," he said.

Mr.Heydarov said the opposite side will be presented with proposals on further cooperation opportunities through the Embassy. The Azerbaijani Minister also said purchasing of special rescue facilities will also be considered soon stressing importance of these facilities in giving efficient and prompt reactions to emergencies, APA reports.
