Russian Ambassador: "I'll do my best to strengthen Russia-Azerbaijan relations"

Russia's President Vladimir Putin issued decree on appointing Vasili Istratov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan.

Russian Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department informes that Vasili Istratov is due to take up his duties in July this year. The ambassador post has remained vacant since September, 2004.

The newly appointed Russian ambassador said that he will do his utmost to reinforce and strengthen the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, APA informs.
