Mehman Ismayilov: "Nizami Bahmanov causes problems"

According to APA, he said it's wrong to introduce Nagorno Karabakh Azerbaijanis as community in the negotiating process for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

"Azerbaijanis are owner of Karabakh and our representation in the negotiations as a community brings dividend to Armenian side in this context. On the other hand, an official, who is responsible to talk on the behalf of Nagorno Karabakh Azerbaijanis should be elected to this post. Azerbaijani officials should understand this, and accept that Azerbaijanis from Nagorno Karabakh need a legitimate organization to represent them. We can win Armenians only through such a systematized activity," Ismayilov said.

Shusha (Azerbaijani region occupied by Armenians) governor, head of Azerbaijani community of Karabakh, Nizami Bahmanov told that he does not recognize the newly established organization related to Karabakh and stressed that he many times witnessed the organization members' activity against Azerbaijan's statehood.

"When reviewing the composition of the new organization called Karabakh Assembly you can see who they are. We'll cooperate with them if they serve Azerbaijan’s statehood. As coming to my post, I have been nominated by the President, and OSCE confirmed this nomination. There is no need to new ideas," Bahmanov stressed.
