"This is information is biased and contradicts reality," its deputy executive secretary Mubariz Gurbanli said, commenting on the broadcast of a documentary concerning Azerbaijan's November parliament election entitled "How to plan a revolution".
According to AssA-Irada, he said such lop-sided reports in the media run counter to the internationally-accepted rules and etiquette. One of the ways of preventing this is taking the matter to court, while the other - issuing due response to the allegations, Gurbanli said.
"First, BBC should first teach ways of staging revolutions to the British people. These reports about Azerbaijan are biased and we will scrutinize them. Then we can issue a specific response to BBC."
The MP said certain circles defending Armenians are behind the publication of unfair reports in foreign media. These forces, he said, are spreading biased information on Azerbaijan in foreign print and electronic media.
"However, I believe such reports will not negatively affect the attitude of the international community toward the country," said Gurbanli. He added that fair reports are also published in foreign media.
