US to contribute to free and fair by-elections

He said reportedly that development of democracy and human rights is one of the most important elements of his country’s cooperation with Azerbaijan, and expressed hope that the re-run of the parliamentary elections will be fair, transparent and free, AzerTAg reports.

According to the diplomat, USA will help with conduct of "exit-poll", and provide indelible ink to mark voters’ fingers and other means to ensure that the elections be free and fair.

He also advised that representatives of the Embassy will observe the voting process.
