Aim of Iranian President's visit – participation in ECO summit

All ECO member-states heads have received invitations from the Azerbaijani President to take part in the Baku forum.

Commenting on the exacerbation of US-Iranian relations, Mammedov said that the current visit is not connected to US-Iranian relations. "The major point of our foreign policy is to serve to Azerbaijan's interests," he added.

On the other hand he didn't exclude the possibility that regional matters would be discussed between the Iranian and Azerbaijani Presidents, Trend reports.
