Jyoti Svarup Pande: "India interested in purchase of oil through BTC"

According to Trend, earlier Indian companies showed interest in the BTC project in the view of construction. One big Indian company put forward the proposal on construction of the Georgian section of the pipeline, but Azerbaijan did not give a reply to their proposal.

"Of course, we are interested in the purchase of Azerbaijani oil," he said. According to Pande, India's own oil production comprises only 34m tons per year, while consumption of oil reaches 120m tons and this figure permanently grows.
