OSCE Office in Baku will conduct a workshop next week.

According to APA, the Head of the Office, Maurizio Pavesi told that the workshop would cover the issues concerning election system and funding of political parties: "I have invited representatives of main pro-government and opposition parties to the workshop. The discussions will focus on the importance of how to change the election system on the basis of previous elections as well as funding of political parties. The issue on funding of political parties by state will be the highlight. This is a very problematic topic."

Mr.Pavesi addressing to some opposition parliamentarians, stressed the importance of going to parliament. According to him, the opposition might weaken if it does not go to parliament.

Refusing to answer journalists about Karabakh problem, Mr.Pavesi said this issue did not include his mandate: "You'd better address this question to Ambassador Kasprzyk, because he is the Special Envoy for this issue. It would also be better if you address the question to the Minsk Group".
