Russia's Rodina Party leader makes pro-Armenian proposals

Dmitri Rogozin, leader of Rodina Party of Russia proposed versions for resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The politician thinks, "People's diplomacy" should join the regulation process because attempts are ineffective in official talks, APA informs.

According to Rogozin, military forces of Nagorno Karabakh are to be withdrawn from all the regions surrounding Nagorno Karabakh except Lachin and he says that Nagorno Karabagh and Armenia controls these territories.

In return, Azerbaijani IDPs can return to their homelands, direct highway will be opened to Nakhchivan via Lachin corridor and oil, gas provision to Armenia will be restored.

He advises to discuss the status of Nagorno Karabakh later: "All liberated territories should be demilitarized in this period."

To his mind, Russia-led peacekeepers should be stationed in the zone between Lachin and Nagorno Karabakh. Rogozin thinks it is possible to determine the status of Nagorno Garabagh through discussions and referendum.

The Rodina leader called on Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian presidents and "head of Nagorno Karabakh" to enjoy their authorities to speed up resolution of the conflict.
