Samad Seyidov: "Opposition to get another two places in Azeri delegation to PACE after repeated elections"

Two vacant places in Azerbaijani delegation to PACE will be given to opposition deputies after repeated elections on May 13, said Samad Seyidov, head of Azeri delegation to the organization.

According to him, the question is agreed with Rene van der Linden, the PACE president. "Our delegation will attend June session of PACE with full staff of 12 members. We have 4 incumbent MPs, 4 non-partisan ones, and two opposition deputies. The other two members from opposition will be determined after repeated elections."

Mr. Seyidov told date of arrival of Andreas Gross and Anders Herkel, PACE co-reporters on Azerbaijan would be discussed at the first sitting of the Elections Monitoring Committee on March 8-9. Mr. Samadov also stressed great importance of repeated elections for international authority of Azerbaijan, ANS informs.
