Ankara considers Oskanian’s objection to inclusion of Turkish forces in the staff of peacekeepers as destructive

28 January 2006 [09:09] - TODAY.AZ
"Turkish government considers proposal of Yerevan on transport of freights belonging to Georgia and Turkey via Armenia without any expenditure through Kars-Gumru railway as impossible."

Correspondent of APA in Turkey reports that, Secretary General of Turkish National Security Service Igid Alpdogan said so. I.Alpdogan stated that, because Armenia didn’t give a affirmative answer to the Turkish proposal on creation of a commission consisting of historians in connection with alleged Armenian genocide, it is not expedient to take into account any proposal of this country: "This proposal can be discussed if Robert Kocharyan gives answer by April to some demands of Turkey as well as Yerevan should give up territory claims against Azerbaijan and Turkey, and demonstrate constructive stance in Southern Caucasus."

I.Alpdogan said that, Turkey is following the negotiations for the resolution of Nagorno Karabagh conflict and official Ankara constantly takes consultations with US government on conflicts in South Caucasus.

He also expressed his attitude to the statement of Armenian Foreign minister Vardan Oskanian that, Yerevan are in all cases against inclusion of Turkish forces in the staff of peacekeepers to be stationed in Nagorno Karabakh. I.Alpdogan regarded the statement of Oskanian as one of the regular destructive position of Armenians.
