Azerbaijani, Armenian Presidents probable to meet in Paris

A meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia might be held in Paris on 10 February 2006, the Russian daily "Vremya Novostey" writes.

As a result of a two-day meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Elmar Mammadyarov and Vardan Oskanian, in London in an effort to search the ways for peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict the sides took a decision on the place and date of the meeting of Presidents, the article notes.

The major result was the assertion of a meeting between the heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia – Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharian in Paris on 10 February 2006, the article reports in reference to reliable sources.

“The talks in London confirmed the forecasts, which urged the absence of any sensations in the resolution of the conflict on the ministerial level, the same maintaining a ‘window of opportunities’ for break in the dialogue on the level of presidents,’ the articles underlines.

The talks were held behind the closed doors.
