Norwegian ambassador comments problems that may occur with inking procedure

"We welcome the President’s decree on immediate measures related to preparation and holding of the parliamentary elections”, said the Ambassador of Norway to Azerbaijan Steinar Gil in an exclusive interview with Trend news agency.

"There are positive responses on many recommendations from the part of OSCE, the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission," he stated. The only thing that concerns the ambassador is that authorities have little amount of time to implement decision on inking.

In the Ambassador’s view, the use of ink requires relevant technical equipment, specific indicators and some other devices. "All this is to be ordered, obtained, distributed and there is little time left," Gil complained.

Therefore, he thinks, the use of the visible paint, for instance, the black ink is a more convenient method.
