Number of international observers goes up

According to the Central Election Commission number of foreign observers has reached 401.

Up to date the Central Election Commission registered 401 international observers who are going to follow the parliamentary elections. Most of them are representatives of international organizations.

Besides that, there were registered 22 observers from foreign election commissions, 32 from embassies accredited in Baku, 15 from parliaments of other countries and 54 observers from the parliamentary assembly.

Representatives from the OSCE ODIHR, Council of Europe, the CIS, NGOs of Bulgaria and other organizations have applied to the CEC too.

The number of local observers equals to 9870 with 132 of them receiving a status of a special observer.

Eighty seven journalists from 22 different mass media organizations applied to the CEC for observing the elections and 130 observers from foreign mass media have been registered. They represent 30 mass media of different countries of the world.
