Trial on Rasul Guliev's extradition starts tomorrow

A day passed since the leader of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan was arrested on his way home in the airport of Simferopl, Ukraine. Ex-speaker Rasul Guliev left Azerbaijan in 1996. In year 2000 an order for his arrest was signed in Azerbaijan. He is accused of appropriating a hundred millions dollars of the state money.

Materials related to Rasul Guliev’s case were submitted on October 18 to the court of Jeleznodorojni district. The court did not start trial on Guliev’s extradition yet since the materials were submitted late the court decided to open its session tomorrow, on October 19.
At this moment Guliev is kept in a cell belonging to the court of Jeleznodorojni district.
