Police tightens the grip

Secretary of Azadlyg elections coalition and some other opposition members detained

Press service of Democratic Party of Azerbaijan informs that yesterday over 40 opposition members, mainly ADP functionaries were arrested by police. Among arrested was a secretary of the Central Election Headquarters of Azadlyg elections coalition Fahmin Hajiyev.

Police also arrested cousin of the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFAP) Ali Karimli - Tofig Karimov. The same faith shared chairman’s deputy of ADP Natig Efendiyev and Solmaz Alasgarova who is the chairman of the Sabunchi branch of the ADP.
