Reno Harnish met with leaders of “Yeni Siyaset” bloc

The meeting which was realized on the initiative of the USA Embassy brought together the founders of “YeS” bloc leader of   NIPA Etibar Mamamdov, co-chairman of SDP Araz Alizade, MHP chairman Samir Jafarov, member of Coordination Board of the bloc Yagub Mammadov and head of “YeS” election headquarters Adnan Novruzov.

The USA ambassador made an exclusive statement to APA after the meeting. The ambassador stated that, the objective of the meeting is to familiarize with the methods of propaganda-campaign applied by the candidates of “Yeni Siyaset” bloc on the eve of the parliamentary elections, their problems, and their prediction on possible results of the elections.

Saying of the meeting to be efficient, Reno Harnish expressed his satisfaction of the meeting. NIPA leader Etibar Mamamdov told APA that, the issues concerning the pre-election situation, possible measures to be implemented by the international organizations, foreign states, as well as the USA for ensuring democracy in the elections were discussed with the USA ambassador.

“We face serious problems in the election campaign. Personally, one of the serious problems I face is the administrative resources are mobilized for assisting the representatives of the ruling party. Another problem is that officials who are candidates to deputy position have not resigned form their posts yet. Both factors I mentioned are gross violation of the Election Code and other legislation acts on election”.

Etibar Mammadov stressed the importance of making relevant amendments to the composition of the election commissions.
