ADP headquarters attacked

About 20 persons attacked the headquarters of Azerbaijan Democrat Party (ADP) at about 9.00 yesterday morning.
According to the information given to APA from the press service of ADP, one of the attackers was police major, 5 were sergeants, and 10 of them were persons in civil uniform. According to the explanation of the party, the attack was caused by the erection of orange tent in the balcony of the party headquarters last day.

The attackers broke the door of the headquarters and went up to the balcony. They entered the economic department of the party through the windows, violated the archive documents, and took one video camera, one big carpet and 50 orange shirts belonging to the party.

The attackers arrived in the headquarters by automobiles marked “Mercedes” and “Jiguli-099”. ADP made a statement related to the incident, stating that the attack was made on purpose. The party accused the law enforcement bodies of the attack. On the other hand, ADP applied to the law enforcement bodies for prevention.

Spokesman of the press service of the Interior Ministry Ehsan Zahidov expressed his dissatisfaction on accusing the law enforcement bodies of the attack in his statement to APA: “The associates of the 18th police department of Narimanov district are investigating the case in the place of the incident. The attackers will be identified and the public will be informed about it in detail”.
