Ilham Aliyev received Rene Van Der Linden

APA was informed about it from the press-service of the President’s Apparatus. I.Aliyev stressing that great works are realized in the country in the direction of more democratization of the society expressed his assurance that the visit of the PACE president will serve closer acquaintance with the development processes going in Azerbaijan.

Rene Van Der Linden, in his turn, stressed that CE supports reforms realized in our country. He noted that solution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is the most important question for Azerbaijan and expressed his satisfaction on steps taken in the direction of regulating the conflict peacefully.

The PACE president informed that he discussed this question with the Armenian side during his visit to Yerevan and expressed his hope on conflict’s being solved sooner. Several questions of mutual interest were also discussed in the meeting.
