Armenian armed forces on Sunday launched a missile attack on Azerbaijan’s Mingacheivr industrial city that houses the country’s hydroelectric power station.

One of the missiles landed close to energy bloc in the city but did not explode.

"Proof of Armenia's delibarate and targeted attack against critical civilian infrastructure of Azerbaijan. #Missile landed in close proximity of energy block in #Mingachevir. But did not explode. Peace enforcement must continue to bring #Armenia to its senses and responsibility," Presidential Aide Hikmat Hajiyev twitted on October 4.

Hajiyev said that four Armenia fired four TOCHKA Short Range Theatre Ballastic Missile to Mingachevir. No serious damage has been caused to infrastructure but civilians have been wounded.

“Armenia's state terror&environmental terror continues. Mingachevir is also big water reservoir," Hajiyev said.

"A barbaric expression of desperation," Hajiyev twitted.

In another incident on October 4, Armenia forces hit Azerbaijan’s Khizi and Abheron regions with two 300 km medium-range missiles, Hajiyev said.
