«The decision about possible re-dislocation of Russian military equipment from Georgia to Armenia is not yet adopted by the Russian party and information of mass media about supplies of some special trains are not connected with re-dislocation of bases from one party to another party at all».
The agency Trend reports, charge’s affairs of Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Petr Burdykin stated to journalists 2 June about this.
He admits the possibility of supply military bases, as big economical units are provided during the whole year. He said, unless the fiction of journalists is the case, then this is an ordinary supply, transition of any equipment within frames of ordinary material-technical provision.
As for re-dislocation of military equipment from Georgia, the diplomat said, «which is requested from Russia to withdraw arms from Georgia as soon as possible, not only official Georgia influences, but other countries try seeking ways to accomplish this. One of the ways of solution is its transition to military base in Armenia».
The diplomat said, this does not mean transition of ammunition to Armenia. «This transition if this is the case, will not be directed against the third country, will not influence settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and does not contradict to international agreements», stated charge d’áffairs.
The diplomat said, 2 June he presented to MFA of Azerbaijan the official response of Russian party to note of Azerbaijan party, which was delivered last week.
