Next meeting on the status of the Caspian Sea to be held in Iran next month

The next meeting of working groups of 5 Caspian Sea countries on the status of the Caspian will be held in Iran in the second half of May. Ambassador of Iran in Azerbaijan Afshar Suleymani informed of it.
He called this matter not problem but little debate between Azerbaijan and Iran. Calling the recent talks to be fruitful, the diplomat stated that, the relationships are developing. The ambassador stated that, as Iran protects its interests, Azerbaijan also protect its:"That is due to the fact Azerbaijan is Iran's close friend".

It must be noted that, regular talks are held in the level of deputies Foreign Ministers of the Caspian Sea states for preparing Convention on juridical status of the Caspian Sea. The last fife sided talks were held in Ashgabat in January this year. Nearly 705 of the items of the Convention have been agreed upon.
