Canadian students informed of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

First Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy to Canada Arif Mammadov has made a presentation at the University of Ottawa to inform students of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He highlighted the history of the dispute, Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijan`s internationally recognized territories, ethnic cleansing in the occupied lands, Armenian illegal settlement and economic activities in those areas.

He also provided an insight into the UN Security Council`s and General Assembly's conflict-related resolutions, OSCE Minsk Group`s mediation mission, as well as the European Court of Human Rights' verdict on the case of "Chiragov and others vs Armenia".

The event also featured a question-and-answer session with the Embassy secretary.
