Parliamentary election organized well in Azerbaijan

The parliamentary election has been organized well in Azerbaijan, Leonid Slutsky, the head of the mission of observers of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the mission of observers from the Russian State Duma, told reporters at one of the polling stations in Baku Nov. 1.

"The OSCE/ODIHR refused from observing the election in Azerbaijan,” he said. “We think this organization sees the speck in other’s eye but fails to notice the beam in its own eye. The tension is observed on the international sites against Azerbaijan and Russia. The parliamentary election has been well organized in Azerbaijan."

"The OSCE/ODIHR is well aware of this," he said. "The overseas instructors advised them not to go to Azerbaijan because they knew that there would not be any negative incident. Their refusal proves that this organization has exhausted itself if it is agreed to be a puppet in the hands of others."

This year, 767 candidates have been registered on 125 constituencies. Each constituency accounts for approximately six candidates.

The Central Election Commission announced that 15 political parties will directly take part in the election, while 7 parties will participate within the Azadl?q-2015 bloc.

More than 66,000 observers have passed accreditation at the election committee to monitor the elections.
