Only Azerbaijani soldiers equipped with the most modern weapons and military equipment fight against the Armenian forces, the Defense Ministry reported.

The statement of the ministry has come in response to Armenia's allegations that Turkish servicemen took part in special operations alongside Azerbaijan armed forces against the Armenian army along the line of contact.

"Only experienced Azerbaijani soldiers with high combating skills take part in combat operations against the enemy forces," the ministry said.

The ministry added that the Azerbaijani army is well provided with all necessary conditions in terms of material, moral and technical readiness under the direct attention and care of Supreme Commander in Chief, Ilham Aliyev.

The so-called defense minister of the separatist regime in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Movses Akopyan said in his most recent address that the Azerbaijani army sought help from Turkey for its operations on the frontline.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry believes that Akopyan's address is just a populist speech serving to hide the numerous losses Armenian troops faced during skirmishes on the frontline and to deceive its own people.

Turning to periodical misinformation vis a vis Azerbaijan, Armenia is playing a destructive role when it could help foster peace and stability in the region by contributing to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, especially since the UNSC resolutions already called on Armenia to withdraw back into its borders and free Azerbaijan's occupied territories.

Resorting to armed incursions rather than intensifying efforts towards reaching a peaceful resolution to the conflict only proves Armenia's reluctance to promoting stability in the region.

Regular ceasefire violations triggered by the Armenian forces have generated much instability, complicating any hope for a fast and peaceful resolution of the conflict.

Azerbaijan's internationally recognized Nagorno-Karabakh territory has become a conflict zone following Armenia's aggression in the early 1990s. As a result of Armenia's armed invasion, 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory fell under Armenia's occupation. Nonetheless, the OSCE has attempted to foster a peaceful resolution to this conflict amid Armenia's persistent derailment.
