The young man, upon whom complaint Khadija Ismayil has been arrested, makes clarification

Tural Mustafayev: “IVs not a political case, rather it relates to the relationship between the two individuals and never I feel myself guilty for initiation such an action”; “after suicide attempt, I underwent a 12-day treatment course at Mashtagha Clinic”.

In an interview “Yeni Musavat” (New Musavat) daily Tural Mustafayev has responded the questions of the interviewer in connection with detention of Khadija Ismail, the colleague of Liberty Radio.

- Have you invited to the hearing process, Tural?

- No, he didn’t; and I have no information about the exact date of the hearing. I’m here and there is no problem.

- You’ve told that you’ll not make any disclosure due to the fact that the hearing process is confidential; but you have “screened” the correspondences and made them publicized.

- The publication of the correspondences does not mean disclosure of conf?dentiality of the hearing process. I’ve published on the evidences submitted in the hearing process. The correspondences include 33 and I published only one part of them. It means the correspondences relating to the events from 9^th through 16^th.

I’ve already published a part of the evidences and they have been also submitted to the hearing process. After conclusion of the hearing process, ITl share all facts about the case to put an end smearing me.

- The people blame you and criticize you due to your detention as journalist, how you will defend yourself against such blames and criticism?

- The campaign that blame me, who criticize me for confronting with him in the same time, are those try to make this event politicized in the community. The detention of Khadija Ismayil is not based on a political motivation. It’s not any more than an event between two individuals. The most important fact is that the people, who blame me, in the same time, are witnesses of what is ongoing. They don’t like to take part in this event. The majority of them are those accompanied Khadija Ismayil.

-        One of them, for example, is Aynur Imranova, who caused Khadija to do several actions. I remind once again that the hearing process is ongoing and I don’t wish to give more details. Each person, who blames me, it’s his / her own opinion not more than it.

-        The detention of Khadija Ismayil does not mean a political action merely on the ground that she is govemment critic and has a social image. Surely, she would be arrested already if her detention had a political cause. She has detained earlier as well and has been heard by the authorities.

- As a young guy and one of colleague, who works in the same sector with us, do you regard this action as a wise action? I mean your suicide attempt and causing the detention of a journalist?

-        As you know, the problems continue since more than 8 months ago. I have also to state that I had no psychological problem except for some depressive situations which were the natural result of the sever pressures I was exposing to them. Do you know?

-        It’s not any more than a problem between two individuals and should not be politicized. For example, nowadays, there is a lot of criticism against “Yeni Musavat” (New Musavat) and some try to make politicized the papers published in the daily. It just resembles to my case which somebody try to make it politicized.

-                 Is it really justifiable that to make a problem between two individuals exaggerated in such a degree and cause arrestment of the opposite party?

-        A long time before her detention I contacted with Khadija; I invited her to have a meeting and exchange our views. I had aimed to negotiate with her all matters in question and to put an end to the problems. After repeating the same position she had taken in March 9 in her writing in March 16 , she leaved me no other choice. I had no way except to complain against her.

-                 What she told about you that caused your suicide attempt and also induced you to complain against her?

-        I can’t make disclosure about it now. Because the hearing process in ongoing now. I remind once again that I’m ready make a full briefmg about the case after f?nalization of the case. I can point out one aspect of it - she had made instructions resulting termination of my job and my dismissal as a joumalist.

-        The reason for rejection of the videos prepared by me was her instructions and the known relations that she had. The second cause was the separation of my girlfriend and my future wife. Her threatening continues even nowadays and somebody tell her different words. Her explanation to “Meydan TV” was in the form of SMS and had been edited. In summary, the hearing process is ongoing and all things will become transparent after conclusion of the hearing process.

-                 The friend of your ex girlfriend has stated that you have attempted to kill Rovshana; she also has stated that you have also attempted burn out your car. Have they been caused due to psychological problems?

-        The buming of my car was an accident. My attempt to burn out it is a false statement. I’ve not intended to make more clarif?cations here but I can add that the pressures that I’m facing with them nowadays are the cause of our separation.

-        The engagement is a process that is initiated by the two families. In case of any problem, the both families meet again and decide about the situation. Here Rovshana is guilty because if her relatives were against such engagement, they are able to send back the ring and put an end to this engagement.

-        The fact is that the differences between me and Rovshana occurred simultaneous with these events. The dishonorable people, who name themselves as her friends, are extracting the facts about her personal life and make their publicized in the community. The reason for differences between us was that they have made publicized our personal secretes via Facebook. They said the allegedly I’m an alcoholic.

I’ve never drink since March. After my suicide attempt, I went to Mashtagha Clinic upon my own decision and will and wish and treated there for 12 days. As a joumalist you can investigate the case and organizes an interview with Mashtagha Clinic.

Yes, I have had some depressive situations but neither have had any psychological problem in the past nor in present. They think that I complained against Khadija and confronted her due to psychological problems.

- If it’s a personal case and merely relates to the relations between two individuals, can you withdraw from your complain? You’ve caused the detention of a journalist lady who is the source of critical investigation, you know?!

- I tough about withdrawing from my complaint. I can also call back my complaint. But I will not do this because the facts that some dishonored people have written about me and published it. It case will be resolved in the court and I will make clarified all things to them. I remind once again, I am not interested in Khadija’s opinions against the govemment and / or the investigations that he carries out in her f?eld of activity. This because of the fact that Khadija’s detention is not related to the politics and is only a problem between two individuals. Indeed, the investigations carries out by her could also be carried out by any other body who knows English language even not be a joumalist. I can ask anybody to prepare papers by use of foreign websites and, here, Khadija does not carry out any extraordinary job.

- You mean that you don’t feel you guilty?

- Surely, I never feel myself guilty here. Instead, in fact the court process will determine who is guilty.
