President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Lastauskas.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Valdas Lastauskas handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the Lithuanian Ambassador.

The parties expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania and stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of the strengthening of these ties.

It was noted that there were good opportunities for the expansion of relations in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The parties exchanged views over the development of cooperation between the two countries in political and economic fields and in international organizations, including the European Union and NATO.

Ambassador Bard Ivar Svendsen reviewed the guard of honor.

Bard Ivar Svendsen handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev then had a conversation with the Ambassador.

Saying that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Kingdom of Norway were satisfactory in general, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that Ambassador Bard Ivar Svendsen's tenure would see this cooperation further develop. Saying that long-term energy relations between the two countries were successfully developing, President Ilham Aliyev noted that there was mutual interest in deepening this cooperation in the non-energy sector too. 

Ambassador Bard Ivar Svendsen emphasized the importance of long-term active cooperation in the energy sector. The Norwegian Ambassador said he would spare no efforts to ensure the broadening of the bilateral relations during his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of Malaysia’s newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Dato’ Roslan Bin Tan Sri Abdul Rahman.

Ambassador Dato’ Roslan Bin Tan Sri Abdul Rahman reviewed the guard of honor. The Ambassador handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani President had a conversation with the diplomat.

The Ambassador extended the greetings on behalf of the 14th Supreme Lord and Prime Minister of Malaysia to the head of state.

The parties noted the importance of mutual interest in expanding Azerbaijani-Malaysian relations, and said there were good opportunities for the development of bilateral ties in various areas. The sides emphasized the significance of successful cooperation in the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The issues related to the development of the bilateral ties in the economic, energy and other fields were discussed during the conversation.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the diplomat for the greetings of the 14th Supreme Lord and Prime Minister of Malaysia and asked the Ambassador to communicate his greetings to the head of state and Prime Minister.
