President Ilham Aliyev signs order on National Strategy for Information Society Development in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to approve the “National Strategy for Information Society Development in Azerbaijan for 2014-2020s”.

According to the order, on the basis of “Development Concept of Azerbaijan – 2020” and the Presidential Order on the announcement of 2013 “Year of ICT”, National Strategy for information Society Development in Azerbaijan for 2014-2020s should be approved.

The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has been chosen a coordinating body for the implementation of the National Strategy.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to prepare within 4 months and submit a draft State Program for 2014-2017s on the implementation of the National Strategy and solve other questions resulting from the Order.
