Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis marked in New York

A number of events have been held in New York, the USA, to mark the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.

Supported by Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations, the events were organized by the Azerbaijani-American Women Association of New York, Azerbaijan Cultural Center and
Azerbaijan Association of New York.

The events were attended by representatives of Turkic, Jewish and Azerbaijani diaspora organizations, Azerbaijanis living in the USA, employees of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations and foreign guests.

Speakers at the event provided an insight into the history of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, which had been founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev`s congratulatory message to the world Azerbaijanis was read out at the events, which featured concerts and cultural programs.
