Azerbaijani President receives member of British parliament - PHOTO

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received British MP, Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Charles Hendry.

Charles Hendry congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his re-election. He also extended the greetings and best wishes of Prime Minister of Great Britain David Cameron to the Azerbaijani President.

President Ilham Aliyev said close relations were built between the two countries after Azerbaijan`s restoring its independence. He praised the bilateral relations, particularly in energy sector.

They exchanged views on prospects for development of the relations and implementation of joint projects, and also discussed regional cooperation.

The Head of State asked Charles Hendry to convey his greetings to the British Prime Minister.
