Azerbaijan's Interior Troops meet new commander

A new commander of the Azerbaijani Interior Troops was appointed on Friday, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry told Trend on Friday.

Major-General Shahin Mammadov was appointed commander of the Interior Troops of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry.

Earlier, Mammadov served as the first deputy chief of the staff of the Internal Troops.

Earlier, former commander of the Interior Troops, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov was appointed minister of defense upon the presidential decree.
