4th Islamic Conference of Ministers in charge of Childhood kicks off in Baku

The 4th Islamic Conference of Ministers in charge of Childhood has officially opened at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.

Prior to the opening ceremony, participants viewed a photo exhibition highlighting Azerbaijan`s child policy, as well as an exhibition of children`s works.

Themed “The Children of the Islamic World and Problems of Urbanization”, the conference brings together more than 220 delegates from nearly 60 countries.

Azerbaijan`s deputy Prime Minister, deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov read out a congratulatory message of President Ilham Aliyev.
Speakers at the event included chairperson of Azerbaijan`s State Committee for Family,
Women and Children Affairs Hijran Heseynova and ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri.

Held under the agreement signed between Azerbaijan and ISESCO on May 29, 2013, the conference kicks off Tuesday.
