Azerbaijan's UN Security Council chairmanship ends

Azerbaijan handed over the chairmanship of the UN Security Council to China.

This was Azerbaijan's second chairmanship of the UN Security Council.

Azerbaijan was elected a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in October 2011. The country for the first time chaired the UN Security Council in May 2012.
