
The GUAM mission will arrive in Azerbaijan on Monday to observe the presidential election, Secretary General of the organisation Valeri Chechelashvili, who heads the mission told.
"The Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM has already formed a mission for the short term observation of the presidential election in Azerbaijan. The group includes MPs of the Ukraine and Georgia," he said.
The presidential election in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9.
According to him, during the mission, the GUAM delegation will hold meetings in CEC, polling stations and will observe the voting process on Election Day. The mission will hold a briefing and issue a statement on the results of the election on October 9.
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are held every five years. Azerbaijani citizens who have higher education, who have been permanently residing in the country for more than 10 years, who have not been convicted on a serious crime, not having any obligations to other states and those who do not have double citizenship are entitled to the right to be elected to the post of president of Azerbaijan.

(ODIHR) which was sent to observe the upcoming presidential elections in
Azerbaijan has arrived in Baku, OSCE/ODIHR told on Monday.
According
to the organization, the observation mission consists of 280 people.
Currently, the process of distribution of observers in different regions
is going on, and they will become familiar with the polling stations on
October 8.

delegation of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for
observing the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan has arrived
in Baku, a message from the Baku office of the Council of Europe
published on Monday said.
According to the message, the delegation led by the British MP Robert Walter consists of 32 people.
Following the observation of the election process, PACE will issue a final report.

The long-term observation mission of the CIS for presidential elections in Azerbaijan started its work on September 10 with the opening of the mission's headquarters.
The two missions include nearly 300 observers representing Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
